Advanced Learning

I am the instructor for third, fourth, and fifth grade students in reading and math. I meet with math students for 45 minutes and reading groups for 45 minutes. On Fridays, a retired teacher and former Winton grandparent teaches Algebra to the fourth and fifth graders.

I am very excited to be among those teaching in this position. With 16 years of teaching here at Winton. I am fortunate to work with children in three grade levels.  This gives me the opportunity to see these children grow over time. I also feel lucky to work with a group of colleagues who support this program and allow me to challenge their students.

In January of 2011, Idaho became one of forty-seven states and U.S. territories to adopt the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Over the next few years, you will notice some changes to instruction and testing in our schools that will directly impact your child. It is essential that you know about these changes and what resources are available to help you support your child.
